In recent years, the number of electrostatic precipitators produced and used in China has ranked first in the world, and the technical level is also among the best in the world, and a series of advanced technology and product results have been achieved, and the efficiency of electric dust removal has been further improved。At present, China's electrostatic precipitator can not only meet domestic demand, but also a considerable part of exports abroad, China's electric dust removal industry has been able to compete with foreign manufacturers。The most widely used electrostatic precipitator industry in China is thermal power industry, and with the promotion of ultra-low emission thermal power plants, a number of advanced applicable technologies such as wet electrostatic precipitator, low temperature electrostatic precipitator, electric bag composite precipitator have emerged in recent years, and more and more applications in thermal power industry。However, although the application of electrostatic precipitator in China is more extensive and mature in the thermal power industry, its application in cement, metallurgy and other industries is relatively slow, and its development in various industries is very unbalanced, of course, which is closely related to national policies and enterprise benefits。

In August 2014, the "Notice on Strengthening the Supervision of Waste flue Gas Denitrification Catalyst" included the waste flue gas denitrification catalyst (vanadium titanium series) into hazardous waste, clarified the management scope of waste flue gas denitrification catalyst, and opened the potential market for waste flue gas denitrification catalyst treatment and disposal。

On October 29, 2014, the "Implementation Plan for the Comprehensive Improvement of Energy conservation and Environmental Protection of coal-fired Boilers" put forward requirements for the upgrading of coal-fired industrial boilers in non-electricity industries for the first time after the thermal power industry significantly improved emission standards。

On December 27, 2014, the "Opinions on the implementation of third-party governance of Environmental pollution" focused on cultivating the third-party governance market, and the third-party governance work of the dust removal, desulfurization and denitrification industry is also being vigorously promoted。

The Action Plan for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Upgrading and Transformation of Coal Power Plants (2014-2020) (referred to as the "Plan") stipulates that the emission of air pollutants from newly built coal power plants in the eastern region basically reaches the ultra-low emission limit - the emission concentrations of soot, SO2 and NOx are no more than 10mg/m3, 35mg/m3 and 50mg/m3 respectively (under the condition of the benchmark oxygen content of 6%)),In principle, the newly built units in the central region are close to or reach the ultra-low emission limits,Encourage new units in the western region to approach or reach ultra-low emission limits;And to steadily promote the ultra-low emission transformation of active coal power units in the eastern region,Encourage the ultra-low emission transformation of existing coal-fired power units in other regions。At the same time, the "plan" supports the simultaneous joint and coordinated removal of air pollutants, and controls the emission of pollutants such as sulfur trioxide, mercury and arsenic。The "plan" opens the curtain of the upgrade of ultra-low emissions of coal power units, making ultra-low emissions the focus of air pollution control of coal power units in the next few years。

On December 2, 2015, the executive meeting of The State Council decided to fully implement the ultra-low emission and energy-saving transformation of coal-fired power plants, significantly reduce coal consumption and pollution emissions for power generation, and put forward specific targets。On December 9, 2015, the "Notice on Issues related to the implementation of the Ultra-low emission Electricity Price Support Policy for coal-fired power plants" stipulated that the coal-fired power generation enterprises that completed the ultra-low emission transformation were given feed-in tariff subsidies, which increased the motivation of coal power enterprises to upgrade ultra-low emission。
